California-based space station startup Vast has cut 46 employees, or about 4% of its workforce, even as the company backed by crypto billionaire Jed McCaleb pushes ahead with plans to build a commercial replacement for the International Space Station. The layoffs come just months after Vast secured $500 million in funding and as competition in the new space race intensifies.
