California is set to witness a significant political showdown tonight as 169 Republican delegates are up for grabs. However, the spotlight is also on the race to fill the vacant Senate seat left by the late Senator Dianne Feinstein. The competition features two House Democrats, Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee, along with Republican candidate and former MLB All-Star Steve Garvey.

This Senate race has emerged as the most expensive in California's history, with intense competition among the candidates. Notably, a Republican candidate has not been elected to a statewide office in California for almost two decades, highlighting the state's strong Democratic leanings.
