The Calamity Mod development team has ended work on the hugely popular Terraria mod after nearly 10 years, announcing the decision on Aug. 10 following internal turmoil and allegations involving lead developer Ozzatron.
The team said it had reached this decision after years of controversy surrounding Calamity’s development, with several contributors leaving and others requesting that their work be removed. They further described the project’s reputation as “irrecoverably tainted” and said many developers no longer wanted to be associated with it.
