A cake company with mobile shops in Llanelli and Bridgend has announced that it will be closing its business from Wednesday, August 31. Get Caked, which is co-owned by Chloe and Oliver Davies, began almost overnight in 2016 when the then 24-year-old Chloe's hobby turned into a bespoke cake business, which saw her creating dozens of beautiful celebration cakes and cupcakes to order every week.
Over the last six years, the business has grown into producing brownies boxes, cookies and sweet treats, which have been sold at their counters at Parc Trostre and McArthurGlen and from cake bikes across Wales, alongside catering for weddings and events.
However, the pair have now released a statement on their social media letting loyal customers know that they will be hanging up their aprons for "personal reasons". But they've vowed not to leave those with orders in the lurch and are honouring their promise and making those select batches before their final day.

Posting a picture of Chloe outside one of their successful bake boxes with the statement typed up next to her, Get Caked said: "IMPORTANT INFO. Hi guys, Unfortunately we have some bad news for you all. Get Caked will be *closed* as a business as of the 31st August 2022.
"If you have a cake booked in for before then your order is safe & will be honoured. If you have an order for after the 31st of August unfortunately we will be unable to process this as we will be closed. Everyone has been contacted so please check your emails. We will remain open at our Bridgend McArthur Glen location & Parc Trostre location until the 31st of August to please come and visit us for your last Get Caked treats.
"This is not a decision we have taken lightly but for personal life reasons it is something we have to do. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. I can’t even begin to explain how much it means to us and we hope you are able to stock up on your faves before we are gone for good. thank you & love you all xxx"
The two locations where you can find Chloe and Oliver's Get Caked business until Wednesday, August 31, will be the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet in Bridgend and Trostre Retail Park in Llanelli, as stated in their Instagram and Facebook post.
