Caitlin Clark uncharacteristically airballed an open 3-pointer after crossing up the Mercury’s Rebecca Allen

While Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark is already one of the best 3-point shooters in the WNBA, she doesn’t hit them all.

During Sunday’s anticipated Fever road game against the Phoenix Mercury, Clark got close to completing one of the coolest highlights of her first WNBA season so far but couldn’t quite seal the deal.

On a step-back 3-point attempt, Clark crossed up Mercury guard Rebecca Allen before throwing up what is usually an automatic bucket for the Fever star.

However, she surprisingly airballed the attempt, leaving this highlight just short of sending the Indiana fans in attendance to their feet.

It’s just not often you see Clark airball a 3-pointer like this, but the moves before it on Allen make it a must-see clip regardless.
