The 2023–24 season may still be a few months away, but the hype train already appears to be full speed ahead for Caitlin Clark and Iowa fans entering the fall.
The Hawkeyes star guard and reigning Naismith Player of the Year shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming campaign on Monday in response to the news of Iowa women’s basketball announcing its first season-ticket sellout in program history.
Based on her response, the significance of the landmark feat certainly wasn’t lost on Clark, whose popularity skyrocketed to megastar status during Iowa’s memorable run to its first-ever national title game appearance last season.
Wrote Clark on Twitter, “Going to be one insane season!! Hawk fans are insane!!!!”

As one of the top athletes in all of college sports, Clark will head into her senior season with a chance to stamp her legacy with another all-time year. And, if her word choice is any indication, the 21-year-old is already envisioning, at least, a few incredible moments for the fans in her final year in Iowa City.
A two-time All-American and Big Ten Player of the Year, Clark finished the 2022–’23 season averaging 27.8 points, 8.6 assists and 7.1 rebounds while leading Iowa to its second-straight Big Ten title.
