Caitlin Clark has always been a great sport for signing autographs and taking pictures with her young fans.
However, that doesn’t mean she’s just going to let them score on her while playing pickup basketball.
Sports photographer Bri Lewerke shared this absolutely hysterical video of Clark “playing” one-on-one with a young fan at an event this week.
Rather than let the kid just get an open shot on her, she swats away the basketball with ease as the youngster seemingly tries to argue that they got fouled on the attempted bucket.
Look, Clark has been an unintended lightning rod for controversy in recent weeks since her Indiana Fever debut.
Watching her effortlessly block some poor kid’s basketball shot attempt is the kind of content we need much more of when it comes to the rising WNBA star. This is absolutely priceless.
Counted about 5 total blocks in this 1-1 matchup today from @CaitlinClark22 🤣😭@GainbridgeSport @Habitat_org pic.twitter.com/8CwdsXUStW

If this kid had somehow gotten a bucket with Clark on defense, it would’ve been the story of the summer for their neighborhood friend group.
However, getting your shot absolutely rejected by Clark is also a pretty great anecdote for the cul-de-sac pals. There’s no shame in that!
