Cain and Kyle's relationship under threat as Emmerdale fans left fuming at Amy's decision to go for full custody

Emmerdale fans have been left furious at Amy, after she revealed in tonight's episode that she is going to fight for sole custody of Kyle. It comes just minutes after she let Kyle and Cain have a sneaky moment together, despite a court order demanding they stay apart.

Earlier in the episode, Kyle was excited to finally be spending some time with his dad - whom he had been desperate to see freed from prison. But, come the end of tonight's Emmerdale episode, Amy was telling her brother that she will never let Kyle see his dad again.

It is all thanks to Caleb, who fans think has an evil plan to come between the family. He spotted Kyle and Cain's secret meeting earlier in the episode and showed up at Cain's to confront him about it.

He told Cain that "no one would hear" about the visit, "at least not from me". Before digging the knife in about how Cain ruins lives. Caleb started to goad Cain and told him that he had "ruined" their mum's life, but Cain stood firm and calmly told him to leave.

Not wanting to go without a fight, though, Caleb continued his crusade. He told Cain that he was just unable to hear that the "mighty Cain Dingle is flawed" and, once again, Cain warned him to walk away.

But Caleb had to have the last word, telling him: "you can't stand it eh? That I'm the better brother. Better at everything. Better for Kyle than you ever could be."

And, with that, Cain lunged towards Caleb with a wrench in his hand, having just been working on one of the cars. He warned Caleb not to mention Kyle again but, at that moment, Amy appeared - and saw what looked like a violent confrontation.

Misunderstanding the situation, Amy told Cain that his "world" is full of violence, which is something she wants to keep Kyle away from. "You go nowhere near Kyle, ever again. You keep away from my son, a million miles away", she warned.

And, shortly before the credits rolled, Amy could be seen talking to Matty about her decision to keep Kyle away from his dad. Matty, trying to be the voice of reason, said: "Amy you know that Cain will fight to be near him".

"Well he won't win, I'm saving my son. I'm going for sole custody", Amy replied. But furious fans are having none of it, reminding Amy that she has not exactly been a perfect parent herself.

So holier than thou given what happened with Frank. Pretty sure half the reason she wants sole custody is because she’d jealous of how much Kyle views Moira as his mother tbh".

@lilmiss_annie said: "why couldn't Cain's long lost brother stay LOST.... and while we talking of Staying LOST can AMY just get LOST. Kyle won't want to stay with her." @jamal06122771 said: "Really Amy going for custody, you forgot you abandoned Kyle in the phone box dear?"

@KellyBlackX said: "Aye ok then Amy … you won’t get sole custody.. you left Kyle in a phone box when he was seconds old then you gave him up so stop acting like the dotting mother … Moria is more of a mother to Kyle!"

@AprilQuinn2x said: "Hang on who the f does Amy think she is. Ain’t she a murderer, has she forgotten she killed Frank!! She’s a murderer and has the audacity to tell Cain to stay away". And @gail86908670 said: "Amy going to for sole custody when she the worst mother ever".
