New Delhi: Delhi’s economic growth has lagged the national economy over the past decade, with the national capital's contribution to India’s GDP declining from 4% in 2015-16 to 3.67% in 2024-25, a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report tabled in the Delhi Assembly on Monday said.
The report, tabled by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, reviewed the finances of the Delhi government for 2024-25, including its financial position, expenditure patterns, debt and compliance with fiscal responsibility norms during the period when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was in power.
