Caffè Nero has opened a new store at Bristol Airport following an investment of more than £500,000.
The high street coffee chain, which has a portfolio of more than 30 retail units at airports across the country, said the outlet had created 15 jobs.
Located in the main terminal of the South West transport hub, the 2,000 sq ft cafe provides seating space for more than 80 customers, with a layout designed by the group’s founder Gerry Ford.

The company’s managing director Glyn House said: “I’m delighted by the early performance of our new Bristol Airport store. The design is fantastic, it really creates an exciting, yet warm and welcoming atmosphere and customers are already telling us how impressed they are. I think our customers will really enjoy visiting and we look forward to serving them.”
The store is the latest addition to the Bristol Airport site, with the announcement earlier this month of two new executive lounges, set to open in the summer.
Rupert Lawrie, commercial director at Bristol Airport, said: "It is fantastic news that Caffè Nero has joined the Bristol Airport family. The store will further enhance the extensive food and beverage range currently available to customers.”
Bristol airport is proceeding with a major investment in its terminal building, parking facilities, and public transport links, which it has said will help create 800 jobs across its operations and boost the South West economy by an estimated £430m.
It comes after a legal challenge to the airport’s controversial plans to expand its maximum capacity from 10m to 12m passengers a year was dismissed by a High Court judge earlier this year.
