Cafe Strange Brew owners say goodbye to Julie's Kopitiam as it closes its doors

A popular café in the southside has paid tribute to a fellow fan favourite in Shawlands which has closed its doors for the final time.

The team at Cafe Strange Brew said there will be a "wee Julie–shaped hole" after Julie's Kopitiam closed opposite them on Kilmarnock Road.

Posting on Instagram, the Café Strange Brew owner Laurie MacMillan wrote: "The end of an era, as @julieskopitiam closes its door. Definitely going to be a wee Julie-shaped hole left in the southside of Glasgow but sending all the best wishes and love to her and her team and watch keenly what adventures await them all next.
