A planned new café has hailed by shoppers as 'something different' for Nottingham city centre. A Bubbleology bubble tea shop could soon open on Long Row in Nottingham.
The shopfront had previously been occupied by Toni&Guy and most recently Shuropody, a chiropody clinic. Bubbleology was started in London in 2011, and refers to itself as a 'premium' Bubble Tea and Tea Mixology retail chain on its website.
The brand operates more than 60 sites across the UK, Europe and the USA and serve tea-based beverages with freshly cooked tapioca. Shoppers in Nottingham city centre said the new café would give help the area.

Sarah Williams, 56, a sales assistant at Next who lives in Arnold, said: "It is definitely as good thing to add another business to the city centre. It all sounds great to me.
"Brings a bit of culture, the population of students and people from other countries coming here will probably will grow, so it's good that its something for them."
Retiree Barry Leverton, 80, from Sherwood, said: "As long as they can fill it with people, that would be a good thing. I am all for it, as anything that can help this part of the city is needed after Debenhams left.
"There's been a long ongoing decline of the city centre. There must be a demand for it if there are already other shops here, but it will still be something different for most people I would think."
There are a number of bubble tea cafes in the city centre, with one in the Exchange and another on King Street. Destiny Richardson, 21, an estate agent from Beeston, added: "I think it is a good thing to fill the space and I might try it one day. It has died down a bit here since Debenhams has gone.
"I don't really think we needed another food place though as Nottingham has a lot already. There's a lot of chains but not independent businesses." The planning application is currently pending consideration by Nottingham City Council.
