Cadence AI cuts chip timelines

Cadence Paul Cunningham Semiconductor India Cadence Design Systems Intellectual Property United States San Jose

India can develop a domestic semiconductor startup ecosystem comparable in scale and vibrancy to that of the US within the next decade, said Paul Cunningham, senior vice-president and general manager of the System Verification Group at Cadence.

“I firmly believe that within 10 years from now, we’ll have every bit as vibrant and significant a local semiconductor startup industry as we have in the US,” Cunningham told ET. “It’s absolutely coming, and we want to be a part of that.”
