Friday night is Gogglebox night, isn't it? Well, not this week. Channel 4 has cancelled the regular 9pm show and replaced it with Friday Night Live.
Friday Night Live was the 'must watch' show of the 80s. Running from 1985 until 1988, it was the launchpad for some now household names. The show will be making a comeback on Friday, October 21, but don't worry Gogglebox fans, it is for one week only.
The legendary comedy show will be hosted by Ben Elton and he'll be joined by Harry Enfield, Julian Clary and Jo Brand, plus Rosie Jones, Mawaan Rizwan, Jordan Gray, Ronni Ancona and Sam Campbell.

Of course, while people of a certain age will be cheering the show's brief return, regular Gogglebox watchers may not share the same view. In fact, some viewers have already taken to social media to share their outrage at the reschedule after an announcer explained on Wednesday night that: "It's one for your diary. Brand new Gogglebox isn't on its usual Friday night spot. Saturday at 9pm is your go-to for this week over on Channel 4."
One fan of the show took to Twitter in outrage. "No no NO #Gogglebox @Channel4 what have you done?! Gogglebox is Friday Night TV!" Another simply declared: "You can't move #Gogglebox to a Saturday night to make way for Ben Elton...." A third enquired: "Is this goggle box move to Saturday night permanent?? As this really doesn’t work for me!! #Gogglebox".
Friday Night Live will air Friday, October 21, 9.00pm-10.30pm, on Channel 4 and on All 4. Gogglebox will next air on Saturday, October 22, at 9pm on Channel 4.
