The Houston Texans weren’t on the Sunday slate of games in Week 7. The Texans were enjoying their well deserved 3-3 record.
According to Jarrett Bailey from the Touchdown Wire, the Texans actually made up ground during their week off as Houston improved from No. 13 to No. 12 in the power rankings.
I missed seeing C.J. Stroud on my TV this past weekend. The Texans are lovable underdogs who are so easy to root for with their current collection of guys. At 3-3, they are a frisky team that could make a run at the No. 7 seed, and I want that more than I want my future children to succeed.
Houston’s first matchup out of the bye is at the winless Carolina Panthers. If the Texans come away victorious, Houston will have a winning record after the bye for the first time since 2019 — a playoff season and again inviting such comparisons.
Across the rest of the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans fell from No. 28 to No. 26. The Indianapolis Colts held forth at No. 19. The Jacksonville Jaguars improved from No. 6 to No. 3 in the rankings.
