This unique image is from a series made with a giant monopod by David Levene at Glastonbury 2024. The elevated view shows an ice-cream van slightly sunken amid a sea of people moving between performances at the Other stage field on Saturday afternoon, the hottest point of the entire festival.
“It’s already a mission to get around Glastonbury, let alone holding an extendable 8-metre monopod, which I’ve had with me for the past few years but never found the time or energy to use. This year I finally managed to gather images that I’ve had in mind for years, which give a completely different perspective on otherwise familiar festival scenes.” David Levene
