A brand-new indoor activity centre is due to open at a Butlin's camp.
The £15million space will feature a variety of cutting-edge experiences all under one roof at the Bognor Regis location.
Set over two floors and covering nearly 50,000 square feet, each room will be filled with adrenaline-pumping activities in the daytime and competitive, interactive bar games in the evening - meaning it has something for all visitors to the park.
Opening in Autumn 2024 and named PLAYXPERIENCE, the zone will feature escape Rooms with a variety of different worlds to bust out of. Guests will have to find clues and solve puzzles to beat the clock in this immersive and interactive game.
An AR game dubbed Digi Darts will let players take to the oche to compete through several different game modes with autoscoring boards that offers a new twist to chucking arrows.
TechPutt offers a similar techy twist but for gold, laser tag puts competitors through their paces in a new galactic battleground, while the batting cage helps you let off some steam through AI versions of baseball, tennis, lacrosse and cricket.
Classics such as shuffleboard have been updated with electric scoreboards and a unique concave playing surface, while glow pong offers a fun, light up twist on table tennis.
Jon Hendry Pickup, CEO at Butlin’s said: "We are super excited to be bringing PLAYXPERIENCE to our Bognor Regis resort in 2024.
"This fantastic indoor space will be perfect for both our family guests and friends who join us on adult only Big Weekenders throughout the year. PLAYXPERIENCE will allow our guests to take their already jam-packed holidays to the next level, both day and night, whatever the weather.
“We’re working with some of the very best in the industry to bring an incredible activity centre to Butlin’s.
"As the Home of Entertainment, we’re continually looking to create unforgettable experiences for our guests and when we open PLAYXPERIENCE next year we’re offering families and friends the best range of activities they could want, all in one place.”
While the new play zone won't be open until next year, if you are considering a break at Butlin's this summer, then there are currently family flats available for £293 for three nights and four days in July.
Earlier this year a huge new £2.5million playground opened at the Skegness branch of Butlin's.
SKYPARK has six different zones, each with slides, climbing towers and even the longest seesaw in the UK. In the middle of the park is a 45ft Tower of Excitement which has panoramic sea views and an illuminated 32ft slide.
The playground is divided into zones based on "positive play emotions" called Joy, Calm, Excitement, Happiness, Surprise, and Curiosity.
The Joy section will be for under 5s, while Excitement, Happiness and Surprise is catered for 6-12-year-olds.
Calm and Curious is designed for all ages, as will the Heart Line, which is a playground for kids to enter the park through.
