Butlin's holiday park has received heavy criticism after a toddler choking to death on sausage while having breakfast on holiday with his family. Little James Manning, two, fatally choked on the sausage while on a trip away in June 2018 with his family at Butlin's in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.
While the youngster struggled, his family helplessly tried to save him, without the help of Butlin's staff who failed to intervene, the Mirror reports. The two year old from Battle in East Sussex was taken to the hospital and was put on life support for a fortnight before he tragically passed away.
The cause of death was ruled ''accidental'' and it was concluded that even if staff had intervened, it still might not have saved his life, an inquest heard. However, Karen Harrold, assistant coroner for West Sussex, has condemned the holiday park firm for its first aid provision.
