China opposes U.S. AI stance
China’s foreign ministry said it opposes forcing countries to take sides and engaging in bloc confrontation in the AI ecosystem, in response to U.S. demands for parties to choose sides in the China-U.S. AI ecosystem.
Beijing urged all parties to abandon zero-sum thinking, respect the digital sovereignty of all nations and work together to build a fair and reasonable global AI governance system.
Universal healthcare plan released
China has released its 15th Five-Year Plan for universal healthcare, targeting a multi-tiered medical insurance system by 2030.
The plan aims to stabilize hospitalization reimbursement rates at 80% for employees and 70% for residents and establish a comprehensive long-term care insurance system.
