A man resorted to an unconventional method to make his point about a bus stop remaining closed.
Daniel Davies is CEO of New Brighton company Rockpoint Leisure and in recent years he has worked alongside residents and other businesses to regenerate the resort's Victoria quarter.
However, he believes their work is limited by the fact the bus stop on Victoria Road in New Brighton is out of use and has been for a number of years. Daniel said the bus stop was meant to be reinstated in September, but it has not happened.

In order to get answers about the stop, Daniel took to Twitter to make his point heard. On Wednesday, he placed plastic skeletons in the bus stop to joke about how long it has been since buses last stopped there.
Alongside pictures of the skeletons, Daniel wrote: "The bus stop on Victoria Road in #NewBrighton has been out of service for about 7 years. It was meant to start service again in September…these residents have been waiting!"
Daniel told the ECHO about his frustrations regarding the bus stop. He said: "We were told that the bus stop was going to be reinstated but nothing has happened. When there’s a wider conversation about the death of the high street and there are all the issues facing towns, things like transport are really important.
"We’ve been trying to regenerate New Brighton and its Victoria quarter since 2018. In the first few years, we were trying to open the closed businesses and shops.
"Three banks had shut down, businesses, pubs, all sorts. We started doing the little things - dealing with litter and fly-tipping, putting pressure on the council to make sure that the street lights were working.
"We spent a lot of time speaking to local residents - and I’m a local resident anyway - and watching people.
"When you see the old dears walking down the road, there’s a supermarket down on the prom and that’s quite a walk for them. Things like doctors in Liscard are a way away.
"It’s a situation where I think it’s so important to have that transport infrastructure. On this road, we used to have three banks, but people now live away from the banks.
"It’s important that people have these services. We’ve gone without them for too long. It’s a crucial thing to have - particularly for people who don’t have a car, older people."
Regarding his tweet, Daniel said: "It was a bit of a tongue in cheek thing, a bit of a nudge to Merseytravel. But it was just a case of saying, it’s not rocket science and it isn’t going to cost.
"The bus stop is already there, it’s just a case of re-routing them and a few minutes difference, so they can stop there as well.
"There used to be regular buses. There are a whole host of people who live around Victoria Road who used to have a service to take them anywhere they needed."
Merseytravel has been contacted for comment.
