Bus journeys across England will be capped at £2 for three months at the start of next year as Brits grapple with the cost of living nightmare.
Passengers in some parts of the country could save around £3 a ticket after the Department of Transport confirmed the £60 million plan.
The average fare in England is £3, according to the department, meaning the move - in place from January to March - will save most users around 30%.
