A bus driver has been arrested after a man died following a collision in Hounslow.
The victim, aged 40, was admitted to hospital with serious injuries after the collision on Cranford Lane at 7.19pm on Saturday.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was later pronounced dead.
The bus driver, 59, was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene.
He was taken into custody and has since been released on bail.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit want to hear from anyone who might have been driving in the area and caught dash cam footage, or those who might have witnessed the incident.
