A bus crashed into a car on a busy road in Edinburgh today, sparking an emergency response.
The smash happened on Stenhouse Drive in the capital after a Lothian Bus hit the vehicle at around 12.30pm. Mercy crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, sped to the crash site to offer assistance.
Photos taken at the scene, which were shared on social media, show at least three ambulances surrounding the number one bus, which had been bound for Seafield prior to the incident, reports EdinburghLive.
The bus had been pulled into the side of the road following the collision, meaning traffic was able to continue moving as normal and motorists experienced no significant delays to their journey.
By around 1.15pm, the bus driver had vacated and the bus had been cleared of all passengers, however it is currently unclear if any injuries were sustained.
Scottish Ambulance Service and Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
