Burns Night treat to give Ayrshire diners unique experience of the Bard

One of Ayrshire's leading restaurants is pleging to give diners a unique taste of the Bard this Burns Night.

The Drunken Coo Steakhouse, in Ayr's Beresford Terrace, will hold a Supper with a twist.

Over two nights, they will offer up an eight course tasting menu with delicious dishes and wines on offer.

The venue, run by top chef Chris Steele, has gained a reputation for its high quality steak since opening a little over a year ago.

And it is promising to take diners on a culinary journey of which Rabbie himself would be proud.

Dishes such as 'Address To The Haggis' will feature Chieftain Haggis sourced from Sorn Mains Farm - served in a pot with pickled baby vegetables.

Other dishes include a Smoked Haddock Souffle, Scottish Butter-Poached Turbot and a Cranachan Parfait.

The venue's General Manager, Jon Neil, told Ayrshire Live: "At the Drunken Coo we always aim to provide unique dining experiences and this will be no different.

"We are proud to represent the heart of Burns Country and our eight course menu showcases the best of the Bard."

The tasting menu is priced at £75 per head and will be held over January 25 and 26.

Diners can add five paired wines to their meal for an additional £35.
