Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has previously likened Crystal Palace loanee Albert Sambi Lokonga to Yaya Toure amid links with a move to sign the Arsenal midfielder this summer.
Lokonga is currently on loan at Palace from Arsenal, with the Belgian midfielder making nine appearances since moving to join the Eagles in the January transfer window.
He has not been on the winning side during his nine appearances for Palace, with the 23-year-old featuring just twice since Roy Hodgson returned to the club in March to replace Patrick Vieira.

As such, it is understood that it is unlikely that Palace will look to make the move permanent this summer, with Lokonga also out of favour at Arsenal after being allowed to move on loan in January.
But The Sun claim that Burnley are targeting the Belgium international, who worked alongside Kompany at Anderlecht and was recommended to Arsenal by the now Clarets boss.
Indeed, Kompany has been full of praise for Lokonga, who has made 34 appearances in the Premier League and has spoken about what he did after seeing the Belgian for the first time.
Speaking on Ferdinand’s Vibe with Five YouTube channel, Kompany said: “The first thing I did when I saw Sambi [Lokonga] is I went to Mikel [Arteta] and said, you’ve got to watch this guy, he’s the new Yaya Toure.”
Burnley are looking to bolster their squad for their return to the Premier League, with the Clarets bouncing back to the top flight at the first attempt following relegation last season, with the Lancashire club winning the Championship title and claiming 101 points in the second tier this campaign.
