Burnley interim manager sends Everton warning after Southampton win
Burnley's caretaker manager Mike Jackson has warned his side has what it takes to survive the drop and maintain their Premier League status.
Everton are locked in a relegation fight and Burnley now sit just one point behind them in the table following their 2-0 win over Southampton on Thursday night. The Blues clinched a 1-1 draw against Leicester City earlier in the week and still have a game in hand.
The relegation fight, though, is closer than ever and things don't get any easier for Everton with a trip to Anfield on the horizon. Burnley can move ahead of them in the table with a win over Wolves on Saturday, before the Merseyside derby even kicks off the following day.

Jackson was announced caretaker manager at Turf Moor after the club announced the sacking of Sean Dyche and he's now unbeaten in his two games in charge. He believes his side will be able to secure survival in their remaining games.

Hearts make Everton loan player admission for next season
Hearts manager Robbie Neilson has confirmed that he would like to keep Everton forward Ellis Simms at Tynecastle next season, but it could be a matter that is out of his hands.
The Edinburgh club currently has three Premier League players on loan in the Scottish Premier League and if given the choice, the Jam Tarts would retain the services of all three players for next season.
Speaking about Simms, as reported by the Edinburgh Evening News, Neilson said: “I would like to keep him but, with all the loan players, their parent club will make the decision on it. I would like to keep Ellis here, I would like to keep Cochrane, I would like to keep Woodburn here but their parent club will make the decision. It is out of our hands. We have spoken about it but in general with loan deals, especially coming from England, it tends to be July or even August before we get them in. We need to look at other targets and decide. ‘Do we wait for that one or go for this one?’"
Everton forward Simms moved to Tynecastle on loan in January and has scored five goals in 14 appearances in the Scottish Premier League. His popularity with the club's supporters recently enjoyed a boost after he scored the opener against city rivals Hibernian in a 2-1 win.
