Tennessee police are currently on the lookout for a daring burglar who executed a heist at Lanes Trains and Automobiles in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, where the perpetrator made off with approximately $1,500 in cash.
The audacious burglar gained entry by cutting a sizable hole in the roof of the establishment and descending inside using a rope. Additionally, the criminal also breached a section of drywall to access the interior of the building.
Surveillance footage captured the burglar equipped with a hammer and a prying tool just before 3 a.m. on Sunday. The video shows the individual attempting to access a cash register that was empty but successfully breaking into an ATM and a game card recharging machine, ultimately making away with the stolen cash.
The perpetrator exited the premises through a side door, leaving behind a scene of the crime that was discovered by an employee at 7:50 a.m. that same morning.
Authorities describe the suspect as a male, standing at approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 170 pounds. The burglar was seen wearing a green camouflage balaclava to conceal his identity in the surveillance footage.
As of Tuesday, November 12, no arrests have been made in connection with the burglary. The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement officers work diligently to apprehend the individual responsible for this bold crime.
