A prolific burglar whose 'arrival' at a night-time break-in was announced by Alexa has been jailed for three-and-a-half years.
A court heard the homeowner was watching TV, with his nine-year-old daughter, when the device sprang into life to notify him that someone was present.
Startled, they went into the hallway to investigate and saw intruder Paul Freeman running away.
