Fans of the iconic whopper will be able to snap up the favourite menu item at the chain's latest Ayrshire eaterie. The Heathfield Road restaurant will join the much-loved High Street dining spot in the town.

Plans will be submitted for the new premises to install a drive-thru once it is up and running.

Burger King bosses say applications for the positions are now open.

The chain is also looking to bring in 25 restaurant crew members, spanning both front of house and kitchen positions.

Burger King has promised the jobs will come with a variety of staff perks including free meals and a 50 per cent discount for friends and family.

Jeremy Wright, people director of Burger King UK, said: “During what has been a very challenging few years for many businesses, we are delighted to be creating new job and career opportunities in the area, and look forward to welcoming 27 new starters into the Burger King family, at our new Ayr restaurant.

“We continue to be bold and ambitious in our growth plans across both locations and job opportunities.”
