A spokesperson said: “We are thrilled to have launched the new Vegan Nuggets to our UK restaurants.
“After years of development, it’s great to be able to say we are the first fast-food restaurant to bring such a product to our customers, which delivers the same tasting experience as its meat counterpart.”
The nuggets are made from soy and plant proteins, are intended to ape the texture and taste of their chicken counterparts.
They’ve been developed by The Vegetarian Butcher, and also come with a seal of approval from The Vegan Society.
Available in six, nine and 20 piece boxes, there’s also a certified vegan sweet chilli dip to go with them.
