Burger King is bringing back its Bacon King range from January 4 and this time there will be a plant-based twist. The new line-up introduces the fully certified Vegan Royale Bakon King, which the restaurant says is "packed full of crispy vegan Bakon and vegan Cheeeze".
Back by popular demand will be the meaty Bacon King, but there will also be a plant-based Bakon King available for the first time, offering customers a vegan choice. In a big step for quick-service-restaurants across the UK, from January 4 Burger King will be offering plant-based add-ons so customers can enjoy the plant-based menu their way.
Following trials during the meat-free takeovers in Leicester Square and Bristol, diners will be able to personalise any plant-based burger supplied by The Vegetarian Butcher with add-ons from Violife vegan Cheeeze or La Vie Bakon. What’s more, Burger King app users will have the chance to get a sneak preview before the burgers arrive in restaurants, with a buy one, get one free offer on the Vegan Royale Bakon King and the Plant-Based Bakon King single running between December 31 and January 3.
