Burabay Ice: Over a thousand runners brave -15°C on frozen lake in Kazakhstan

The “Burabay Ice” race took place on the frozen surface of Burabay Lake, part of Burabay National Park in Kazakhstan.

Usually completely frozen in January and February, the lake hosted runners from eleven countries competing in 21, 14, and 7-kilometer distances.
