A weekend music festival at a popular East Kilbride pub raised over £4000 for a charity helping sick kids and their families.
Westwood Bar's WESTFEST 22 in August was officially opened by former Rangers star Ian Durrant and a bumper cheque for the final amount of £4011 was handed over to the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity recently.
It will go towards furnishing a new sensory room in the cancer and leukaemia ward at the Royal Hospital for Children at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
It was the third event of its kind and was a huge hit with punters who enjoyed a fantastic line-up of DJs and bands, a pop-up bar, food, treats like candy floss, face painting for children and a grand raffle.
Moira Roberts, proprietor of The Westwood Bar , told Lanarkshire Live : "I would like to thank the pub manager, Charmaine Miller, for making such an event happen along with Stephen Allen and Kelly Brown for their help with organising.
"Thanks to all who donated prizes, gifts, meal vouchers and alike to make it worthwhile.
"We obviously couldn't have done it without the bands, musicians, singers and volunteers without whom it wouldn't have been possible, so thanks again.
"Congratulations to Samantha Mooney who won the big prize of a free function worth £700 at The Westwood Bar donated by myself."
