Bulls star Zach LaVine listed among ‘players who could be dealt’

The Chicago Bulls will be one of the most intriguing teams to watch this summer as the offseason rolls on. It seems as though they want to run things back, but there’s always a chance they have a change of heart and decide to blow up the roster, which could be better for the team’s long-term future.

Recent reports have indicated that the Bulls have reached out to other teams around the league in an attempt to gauge trade interest in Zach LaVine. And now that Bradley Beal has been traded, Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report thinks LaVine could be next up.

Swartz recently penned a list of stars who could be traded next now that the Beal move has been made, and LaVine made the list.

“Zach LaVine was one of the biggest free agents on the market at this time last year, eventually agreeing to a max deal to return to the Chicago Bulls.

Following another missed playoff season during his tenure, though, the 28-year-old could already be on the move,” Swartz wrote.

He believes a change of scenery could be good for LaVine as well as help the Bulls’ financial situation.

“LaVine is a tremendously talented player, yet this ability has never translated to winning basketball,” Swartz wrote. “A trade to a franchise in a better position could change this and help provide future salary relief for Chicago.”

Trading LaVine could be what’s best for the Bulls if they hope to avoid more middling play moving forward into the coming years.
