Ever since their ugly start to the season, the Chicago Bulls have been at the center of a ton of trade rumors. Now, with the February 8 trade deadline just around the corner, their recent success hasn’t shut down the rumblings that they could be one of the primary sellers this year.
Chicago has been playing much better as of late, separating themselves from the bottom of the East and slowly pushing their way up the standings. That said, there have still been plenty of rumors regarding their potential roster shake-up, and Zach LaVine’s name has been mentioned more than anyone else’s.
However, LaVine isn’t worried about the rumors. He recently spoke about them, noting that he never actively thinks about them.
“We’re winning,” LaVine said via KC Johnson of NBS Sports Chicago. “There’s nothing better than that. I don’t think about [trades] at all. Unless I get a call from my agent, it’s just another day at the office for me. I’m glad to be out here playing. I’ve been in trade talks for a long time, obviously. I think this year was bigger than years prior. But at the end of the day, it’s nothing new.”
So far this year, LaVine has been connected to a bunch of teams in rumors. Squads such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Sacramento Kings have all reportedly shown an interest in the two-time All-Star guard.
Whether or not the Bulls ultimately trade LaVine by the deadline is yet to be seen, but all signs are pointing to yes.
