The 2022-23 season was a tough one for the Chicago Bulls, who were bounced in the play-in tournament despite having clear playoff aspirations. The long-term injury to Lonzo Ball is clearly taking its toll, but they added Patrick Beverley after the trade deadline, a move that gave them a nice boost.
With Beverley in the lineup, the Bulls went 13-9 to end the year, as the veteran point guard started in all 22 games he appeared in. The defensive presence and on-court leadership Beverley brings to the table are invaluable, but he’s also been known to cause quite the ruckus on the court. His antics don’t stop on the hardwood.
In a game against the Boston Celtics while he was with the Los Angeles Lakers, Beverley grabbed a camera and showed referee Eric Lewis a missed call. Beverley picked up a technical foul for the interaction.
Recently, Lewis has been under fire for a burner Twitter account that has been defending referees, with Lewis being the subject of most interactions. The NBA has reportedly opened an investigation on the matter. Once that was revealed, Beverley made sure to chime in.
Beverley’s camera grab was quickly turned into a meme, but once the news about Lewis came out, the Bulls point guard took to Twitter to mock the entire situation.
“Laughed at me when I grabbed the camera 📷 yea aight 🤦🏾♂️,” Beverley tweeted.

Obviously, Beverley has made a name for himself for being a pest on the defensive end, but when he gets the chance, he makes sure to cause some chaos off the court, too.
