Bulls listed among ‘best trade landing spots’ for Deandre Ayton

As the offseason drags on, the Chicago Bulls should be a team to watch. Arturas Karnisovas stated his lack of desire to rebuild the roster, but keeping things the same could just lead to more mediocrity, which is the last place Chicago wants to be. They don’t have to rebuild, but they should definitely make big-time changes.

The core of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic is solid, but it could definitely use a shake-up. There should be some stars available for trade this summer, and Chicago should take advantage. One of those stars is Phoenix Suns big man Deandre Ayton.

According to Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report, the Bulls could be one of the best landing spots for the Suns center.

Swartz wrote an article on ten players who could be traded next now that the Bradley Beal trade has been made, and Ayton made the list. For the Bulls, Swartz proposed the idea of adding Ayton if Vucevic were to leave in free agency

“Teams like the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers could use an upgrade at center,” Swartz wrote. “Add the Chicago Bulls to this list if Nikola Vučević leaves in free agency. If the Indiana Pacers are still interested in Ayton after signing him to an offer sheet last summer, they’ll need to wait until July 15 to do so following a one-year restriction.”

If the Bulls managed to add Ayton, it would give them a nice infusion of youth and a new big man to roll with heading into next season.
