As the offseason roars on, the Chicago Bulls will have some tough decisions to make. Improving the team via the trade market and free agency will be toward the top of their priority list, but they will also need to worry about their own free agents. Among them is 23-year-old point guard Ayo Dosunmu.
Chicago selected Dosunmu with the eighth pick in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft, meaning he will be a restricted free agent this summer. Other teams could come poking around, and considering Chicago has decisions to make with both him and Coby White, things could get interesting.
But in the meantime, Dosunmu is focusing on his game. He recently posted a video of him working on his game, and more specifically, his three-point shot, to his Instagram.

In the video, Dosunmu can be seen shooting catch-and-shoot threes in the corner, pulling up off the dribble at the top of the key, and getting some mid-range jumpers in there, too.
After a successful rookie season from behind the arc, Dosunmu’s three-point shot regressed this past year. He attempted 2.4 threes per game, the exact same number as he did in 2021-22, but shot just 31.2 percent. That number is down from 37.6 percent in his rookie year.
Chicago is in desperate need of three-point shooting heading into next year. They were one of the worst shooting teams in the league this past season.
If Dosunmu can come back after the offseason with an improved three-point stroke, he could earn a nice bump in minutes in Chicago’s rotation.
