Meet DARA, Bulgaria’s first ever Eurovision Song Contest champion

Already a pop star in her own country, Bulgarian singer DARA will surely now be able to claim national treasure status after winning Eurovision 2026 with her song “Bangaranga”.

DARA won the 70th annual song contest in a nail-biting final that left Israel with its second consecutive second-place finish, and the UK dead last with just one point for Look Mum No Computer.
