Bulb have explained to their customers how they will receive the cost of living payment.
All households in Scotland, England and Wales will receive a payment of £400, made in installments to help support the rising cost of energy bills.
This comes as the cost of energy is continuing to rise with the price cap forecast to hit £3,550 in October and it will jump again in January. The new price cap is set to be announced on Friday.

Financial experts have warned that three quarters of Scottish households could fall into fuel poverty this year.
Meanwhile, energy suppliers are informing their customers how they can expect to get the £400 energy discount payment.
When asked on Twitter how Bulb will be issuing the £400 payment, Bulb explained: "If you pay by Direct Debit or top up with Smart Pay As You Go, you’ll get the payment automatically. We’ll confirm how you’ll receive it before the first instalment in October. If you top up using a key or card, you’ll get a voucher each month by email or post."
And for those who don't pay Direct Debit, they added: "Our credit members who are paying on receipt of bill should have this payment added to their account each month."
As explained by the government, traditional prepayment meter customers will be provided with redeemable EBSS Energy Bill discount vouchers or Special Action Messages (SAMs) from the first week of each month, issued via SMS text, email or post. Customers will need to redeem these at their usual top-up point.
Households will see a discount of £66 applied to their energy bills in October and November, rising to £67 each month from December through to March 2023. This discount does not need to be paid back and will be provided on a monthly basis regardless of whether consumers pay monthly, quarterly or have an associated payment card.
Those who receive DWP benefits or State Pension will also be given extra support on top of the £400 payment.
Households who receive the certain benefits will be eligible for the following amount;
- £650 one-off Cost of Living Payment for around 8 million households on means tested benefits.
- £300 one-off Pensioner Cost of Living Payment for over 8 million pensioner households to be paid alongside the Winter Fuel Payment.
- £150 one-off Disability Cost of Living Payment for around six million people across the UK who receive certain disability benefits.
- £500 million increase and extension of the Household Support Fund available to councils to support vulnerable households with the cost of essentials such as food, utilities and clothing.
Chancellor of the Exchequer, Nadhim Zahawi, said: "We know that people are struggling with rising energy prices which is why we have taken action with support over the winter months to help ease the pressure on household budgets.
"This £400 off energy bills is part of our £37 billion of help for households, including 8 million of the most vulnerable households receiving £1,200 of direct support to help with the cost of living.
"We know there are tough times ahead and we will continue to do everything in our power to help people."
