Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has revealed that beating North London rivals Tottenham to fourth spot is enough motivation for the side to finish the season strongly. It comes as the near-neighbours continue to battle it out for Champions League qualification.
Neither side were able to finish in the qualification places last season, with Spurs entering the new Europa Conference League, whilst the Gunners missed out on Europe entirely. This campaign has fared much better for both, with Mikel Arteta ’s side just about leading the way in fourth, one point clear of Antonio Conte ’s men with one game in hand over them.
Heading into the final few games of the season, the Spaniard has sent a message to his players, wanting them to finish the push that started months ago, saying: “For us, this is the defining moment of the season after everything we've done so we want to capitalise on what we've done in the last nine or 10 months.”
