Bukayo Saka has admitted it feels "special" to have made history in an Arsenal shirt after the 20-year-old bagged what was the Gunners 2000th goal of the Premier League era.
The 20-year-old notched the only goal of the game as Mikel Arteta's men registered a win of vital importance against Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa in a victory that keeps Arsenal sitting in the coveted fourth spot. The Gunners are now four points ahead of their nearest rivals Manchester United having played one game less than the Red Devils.
Saka's strike came just before the half-hour mark after a scramble in the box saw the ball eventually pop up at the feet of the winger whose volley beat ex-Arsenal shot-stopper Emiliano Martinez who was unsighted by the sheer amount of bodies in front of the Villa goal. Speaking to BT Sport after the full-time whistle, Saka was pleased with his side's efforts as a collective.
