Bukayo Saka hails Arsenal fans for key shift that has inspired home form: ‘Didn’t use to happen’

Bukayo Saka has praised the Arsenal fans for turning Emirates Stadium into a fortress this season.

Arsenal have not lost at home during the current campaign and their unbeaten run there stretches all the way back to April.

Mikel Arteta’s side, who are top of the Premier League, will want to extend that record this weekend when they host Manchester United on Sunday.

United are the only team to beat Arsenal in the League this season, but Saka believes the home fans could make all the difference.

“I think our squad has changed a lot [this season],” Saka told iQiyi Sports China.

“Of course we have added some players that have taken us to another level. But at the same time I think we have more belief in ourselves.

“Definitely at the Emirates Stadium we feel like we are going to win, especially with the way the fans have supported us this year. I can remember one game where we went 1-0 down - and they were still cheering for us. That normally didn’t use to happen at the Emirates.

“I think the fans have really stepped up and supported us this year. Of course, from our side, we believe in each other more and we’ve added some good players. We are performing at a high level right now.”
