The building housing a restaurant at the heart of Temple Bar is up for sale for a cool €1.25 million.
Italian wine bar and restaurant La Caverna has been a popular fixture in the city centre since the 1990s, and was seen on our television screens in a number of episodes of RTE series Bachelors Walk. The restaurant is adjacent to Crown Alley, Temple Bar Square and the recently completed Central Plaza, which will be home to Krispy Kreme, BUJO and a number of other eateries.
The estate agent advertises this as "an excellent opportunity to acquire a neat commercial investment where the entire building is let to a well-established restaurant business with a proven track record". According to an advertisement on Daft.ie, the property comprises a three storey over basement commercial building which is laid to provide restaurant seating on the ground floor, basement and first floor levels.

The second floor is primarily kitchens but also has ladies and gents toilet facilities. There is a dumb waiter which serves all floors.
The entire building is let to Lunar Concepts Limited trading as La Caverna Restaurant, and the reserved annual rent is €81,000 plus VAT. According to the ad, the tenants will not be affected by the purchase.
