Rebekah Vardy has praised the fire service after a fire at the East Midlands home she shared with footballer husband, Jamie. The blaze destroyed 90 per cent of a gym in the grounds of the property.
The incident happened at the Vardy's home - in a small village near Grantham, just over the Lincolnshire border - at 3.20pm on Thursday, January 19. Firefighters were called to the scene of the blaze.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire Service said the incident resulted in severe damage to a wooden outbuilding used as a gym, as well as the equipment. They confirmed the cause of the blaze was an electrical fault, Lincolnshire Live reports.
One hose reel and a thermal imaging camera were deployed.
