Popular toy store Build-A-Bear Workshop has shut its only Bristol branch ahead of the busy Christmas period. The company's website states that its branch at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is no longer open.
The store has become popular across the world over the past 25 years for the bespoke, personalised element of its products, allowing customers to create their own bears. A number of other UK branches have closed this year including the Birmingham, Chester and Warrington sites.
But it sounds like it's good news for Bristol shoppers as the store is set to return to the South Gloucestershire shopping centre in 2023. When BristolLive reached out to Build-A-Bear Workshop for comment, a spokesperson confirmed the Bristol branch is relocating and the new store in Cribbs Causeway will open in February next year.

Build-A-Bear is a multinational company that boasts more than 500 retail locations worldwide. The brand has more than 30 stores in the UK, offering people the chance to create their own toys.
Shoppers in Bristol who are looking to get their hands on a bear this Christmas will have to go to the Princesshay Shopping Centre, Exeter, which is the closest branch to the city. The store also offers a delivery service online for those hoping to gift a bear this festive season.
The news comes after the shopping centre announced the arrival of five new major brands at the Mall over the next 12 months. The Entertainer, Mango, Rituals, The Works and Suit Direct were part of a wave of new announcements alongside the opening of Kurt Geiger, Carvela, Tommy Hilfiger and Harrods' beauty store H Beauty.
