Budget is progressive and inclusive: Yogi Adityanath

LUCKNOW: Thanking PM Narendra Modi and Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the 2022-23 budget, chief minister Yogi Adityanath called it progressive and inclusive, adding that it would help to realise the vision of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

“The Budget is such that it will push the country’s economy during this Covid period to make the largest in the world. It is an especially progressive budget for farmers, women and the youth,” the chief minister said.

Touching upon the minimum support price for crops, the CM said that it will help in doubling the income of farmers by 2022, as promised by the PM earlier. It will also help to fulfil the year-long demands of the farmers. For the youth, the CM added, 60 lakh jobs had been guaranteed which would help Uttar Pradesh.

“Along with Mission Shakti, the budget has the provision to start several schemes for women empowerment. Push for road infrastructure, airport, cargo and health will give new height to India’s aspirations,” Yogi said.
