Britain’s hard pressed hospitality industry could lose another 100,000 jobs as a result of last month’s Budget, a leading trade body boss warned today.
Allen Simpson, the chief executive of UKHospitality, said it was “entirely plausible” that a shake out on that scale would follow the Chancellor Rachel Reeves’s announcements on the minimum wage and business rates with youth employment bearing the brunt.
