Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker is not happy this offseason. He approached the team for a contract extension and was turned down. He requested a trade and was turned down.
A recent post on his Instagram story was a video of him lifting weights and a caption stating he feels like he isn’t respected.
Many have wondered if this was a subtle jab at the team, which did not honor his wishes this offseason. It was the topic on the PHNX Cardinals podcast and one of their posts on Instagram.
Baker replied to PHNX with a clarification as to what the caption on the story meant. The comment was later deleted.
He said it has to do with the chip on his shoulder he has when he trains.
That’s how I train. Like no one respects me. Imagine being on that last set and you are dog tired and your body is telling you to quit. THEY DON’T RESPECT ME” that rage gets me going!!! My mind is telling me to get this (expletive) up!!
This should, at least to some degree, give fans a sense of relief.
He might not be happy with the organization but this post was not about that (at least not completely).
