Tristan Wirfs and the Buccaneers lost to the Lions at home, 20–6. But he gets to keep the "Creamsicle" jersey.
Going into the Week 6 matchup, there was plenty of excitement over Tampa Bay wearing its popular throwback uniforms, The Bucs wore the orange "Creamsicle" color jerseys from 1976-96 before the team switched its color scheme to red, pewter, and black.
Wirfs showed that fans aren't the only ones who love the throwbacks. Players love them too. A clip from this week's Inside the NFL shows the Bucs' offensive tackle meeting up with Detroit's Penei Sewell after the game. And Sewell wanted to do a jersey swap with his fellow offensive lineman. But Wirfs couldn't give up his game-worn Creamsicle top.

"Let me get that," said Sewell.
"This? I gotta keep this one," Wirfs responded.
Everybody wants the Creamsicle. Sewell will have to console himself with the win, one which occurred in front of a surprising number of Lions fans at Raymond James Stadium.
Wirfs did say that he would send Sewell a Bucs jersey, but probably a regular one. He clearly wants to hold onto his game-worn top as a memento. And really, if you play for Tampa Bay, shouldn't one of the benefits be getting one of those cherished throwbacks?
